Josephine's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business and make more profits to support her children.

Josephine's story

Josephine, a 27-year-old mom of three, is a brave mother who has been the voice of hope for her children. She resides in the Kitale area of Kenya, a remote town with harsh living conditions due to the region's bad terrain. However, it is favorable for dairy farming.

Josephine's primary sources of income are crop farming, milk sales, and a personal business she engages in to make ends meet. She has managed to take care of her family with her income from selling milk.

Josephine has always wanted to take care of another dairy cow, but the lack of capital has prevented her from doing so. She is now seeking a loan to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business.

The cow Josephine intends to buy is a breed that produces rich, creamy milk. With this cow, she will produce more milk, which will translate into more income. Demand for dairy milk in her area is high, but the supply is low. So through this loan, Josephine is going to have more milk to comfortably meet the demand.

Her vision is to keep even more dairy cows, so that she will be able to build a biodigester that would help her to save more energy.
