Rachel's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase high quality hybrid seeds and fertilizers for crop cultivation for this woman with a good credit history.

Rachel's story

As the year 2019 is coming to an end, Rachel (pictured in her simple house) wants to turn her life around. She plans to double her crop production this year to increase her farming. Rachel lives in the Nyahururu area of Kenya. She is blessed with lovely children who are her greatest motivators. She perseveres because she wants to provide them with a better future. Rachel herself was unable to study at college level because of her family's poverty.

Rachel has always had a liking for crop and animal farming. She is a very proud farmer, especially when she is milking her cows. She also keeps animals on her farm and practices crop farming, but she has not been making good profits because of poor farming inputs. This is why she is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs.

Through the loan, Rachel will be able to purchase high quality seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizer that she will use to greatly improve her crop production. Modern farming requires the use of modern techniques, and high-quality seeds will ensure a bumper harvest and increased profits. Rachel is very forward-looking, and her goal for the season is to boost her crop production over the previous year. All this can be achieved with the lenders’ help and goodwill.
