01_Ngamy Group's story

This banc villageois was created in May 2002 and is made up of fifteen women from the same village; the women share common values of cooperation and mutual respect. They manage their loans well.

Madame Amy is 58 years old and she is standing on the right side of the photo, raising her hand. She is married and the mother of a daughter.

Madame Amy has a small business selling food products (grains and groundnuts). She gets her supplies at the weekly markets and resells them in her village in the market or from her home.

She has gained ten years of experience in this area. With this new loan, she will buy two bags of millet, one bag of black-eyed peas, and two bags of groundnuts that she will resell at prices to turn a profit.

She manages her business without challenges despite having some competition.

With the money she makes from her business, she plans to add to her savings, pay for her daughter's education, and help with her family's expenses.
