A loan helped to buy mats to resell.

01_Sebcoumba Group's story

This banc villageois, established in February 2014, brings together these seven women who live in the same village. They are united by kinship, friendship, and solidarity. They have repaid several loans at maturity. Their main activity is trade.

Coumba, 64 years old, is the representative. She is standing at the far left in the photo with her hand raised. She is married and mother of nine children: five boys and four girls. (In the photo, there is a young girl who is with her mom.)

She sells fabrics and mats. She gets her supplies wholesale in a bordering country and resells in her village at home. She has a good experience of more than 10 years in this sector.

With this new loan, she will purchase 35 mats and pay shipping and customs fees. She will resell on credit and collect her money at the end of each month. She makes a good profit.

The profits earned will allow her to save, to contribute to a savings group, and to develop her business.
