A loan helped to purchase more plantain, oranges, banana and palm oil to sell.

Jammie's story

This is 45-year-old Jammie, from Liberia. She has four children; two of whom are in school and all live at home. Jammie sells plantain, oranges, banana and palm oil in a busy market. She started to sell with her own earnings and her mother taught her how to sell. She sells Monday through Saturday. She has no problems with her business and she uses a car to transport supplies to her business site.

Jammie requires a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva Field Partner, in order to purchase more plantain, oranges, banana and palm oil to sell to her good clients. She plans to use the profits generated from her business to help her children at home. She likes her business because sales are profitable. In the future, she would like to give her children a good education. She say thanks to BRAC and all Kiva lenders.
