Dorothy's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer and seeds to enable her to grow more crops, reap maximum profits, and expand her business.

Dorothy's story

The nice woman who appears in the photo is Dorothy. She is 49 years old and has three children. She is an ever-smiling woman who is not deterred by the difficulties she encounters in her quest for success. She has lovely children who help her in her day-to-day farming activities.

Like many farmers from Kerugoya, Dorothy keeps dairy cows and grows crop produce and maize, a staple crop that she has been planting for as long as she can remember. Over time, the fertility of her land has started to decline, and her corn and crop yields are decreasing with each season. Her farmland has also been affected by weeds.

Dorothy is currently requesting a loan from Juhudi Kilimo, a Kiva field partner, to buy quality fertilizer and high-quality seeds to improve her crop farm. Through this loan, she expects to increase her crop production, improve the harvest, and earn a higher income. Thus, this loan will help her to change her living standard.

Dorothy is confident that, if you lend to her, her next planting season will be good. She thanks you wholeheartedly for your previous help and hopes for your warm response.
