Dorcas's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs and hire labor to help with farm work because she has still has a toddler to take care of.

Dorcas's story

Women are a marginalized lot in Kenya, but Dorcas (pictured carrying one of her children) is not lying low. She wants to fight for a brighter future. She is very hardworking and a high-flier.

She hails from a remote village in the Maua area of Kenya. At the age of 35, Dorcas (a mom of three) gets frequent visitors to her small farm seeking technical advice about farming. She is an experienced dairy and crop farmer who loves her job and works every hour of her day to meet the basic needs of her small family.

Dorcas is kindly seeking a loan to hire labor and help her in her farm work because she still has a toddler to take care of. She will also buy fertilizers for crop farming. She is visionary and very aggressive in her approach. She plans to be exceptional compared with other crop farmers.

The returns from the investment will change Dorcas’s life and that of her entire household because she will use the additional income to raise their living standard.

She thanks her lenders in advance for extending their goodwill to her.
