A loan helped to buy materials that she uses in her work such as mud, dirt, clay, etc.

Mujeres Trabajadoras Unidas Group's story

This communal banking group is called "Women Workers United" and they are in their 12th loan cycle through the committee on women, where all women work together to support each other and get ahead. One of the group members is Albina, who forms part of the program for the elimination of poverty, along with the other group members.

Albina works making crafts from clay. She comments that through this modest work she generates income to be able to support her family. She joined the group with the aim of improving and growing in order to continue supporting her family.

She is asking for a loan in order to buy materials that she uses in her work such as mud, dirt, clay, etc. which will help her to be able to continue with her work.

Note that the children in the photo are the children of group members who form part of this loan.
