Marcos's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase blocks, cement, sand etc.

Marcos's story

Marcos is 49 years old. He is single and the father of two children, five-year old twins. Marcos is a farmer.

Marcos has earned his living growing cacao and staple grains for the last twenty years. He learned to work in farming, and that is now his source of income. The farming knowledge he has acquired is thanks to organizations that have trained him in farming certification; he is a certified producer.

Marcos is requesting a loan from FUNDENUSE to build a sanitation system, including a stall, a toilet, a tank and a filter to improve the sewage treatment in his home. The impact of the loan will be positive, as it will provide him with better hygiene, improved health, improved safety and greater privacy. Building a Biodigestor system will also have a positive impact on the environment, as Marcos currently uses a latrine that is in bad shape.

Marcos's future plans are to make improvements to his property, to work his cacao crop and to plant a forestation system on one of his blocks of cacao.
