A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business.

Elosy's story

Elosy is a humble mother of four living in Chuka, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises. She wakes up very early each morning to make sure she makes ends meet for her family.

Elosy’s primary sources of income are milk sales and a personal business she engages in to make ends meet. She has managed to take care of her family with her income from selling milk. Elosy has always wanted to take care of another dairy cow, but a lack of capital has prevented her from doing so. She is now seeking a loan to buy an additional cow to improve her milk vending business. The cow she intends to buy is a breed that produces more milk. With this cow, she will produce more milk, which will translate to more income. Demand for milk in her area is high, but the supply is low. So, through this loan, Elosy is going to have more milk and comfortably meet the demand. Elosy's vision is to keep even more dairy cows so that she will be able to improve her living conditions.
