Sabina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy another quality dairy cow to help meet the overwhelming demand for milk in her area.

Sabina's story

Sabina is a repeat borrower. She is a mother of three who is very determined to succeed and give her family a solid reputation. She thanks Kiva for all her previous loans and is very hopeful of receiving your help as 2019 comes to an end.

Her home is in Nkubu, a remote area located on a gentle plain before the ascent into the central highlands of Kenya. She practices mixed dairy and crop farming. Sabina passionately loves dairy farming and taking care of her cows gives her great joy. Although this humble mother has been making a profit by selling milk to her neighbors and at the local market, she struggles to meet demand. Through word of mouth, customers have been flocking to her farm for milk.

Sabina is seeking a loan to buy another quality dairy cow that will produce milk that is high in nutrients. Through Juhudi Kilimo, a Kiva field partner, she has been able to attend training sessions and has been taught essential financial management skills. This will help her save more money, repay the loan fully and improve her living conditions.
