Pelley's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize, as well as a solar light.

Pelley's Group's story

Pelley, pictured above, has 5 children and is representing his group formed by 12 farmers in Iringa District, Tanzania. He joined One Acre Fund for the first time in 2013 and decided to represent his group because he wanted to help more farmers.

With a portion of this loan, Pelley will purchase maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming harvesting season and a solar light. Receiving a solar light as part of his loan means that now he will be able to have light during dark hours for his children to be able to study. Pelley plans to use the profits he gains this year to save more money for the future.

Pelley’s Group will use the inputs received from this loan to plant 18.5 acres of land. They will also receive 2 solar lights.
