A loan helped to buy fertilizers to improve her tea crop farm.

Agnes's story

Agnes (pictured on her tea crop farm) is a 35-year-old single mom of three school-going children from rural Kerugoya, Kenya, who wants a bright future for her children.

Agnes works on her land and sells her crops at the local market. She decided to start mixed farming with the hope of giving her family a better quality of life.

Her desire to get ahead is admirable, because despite her status and the obstacles she has experienced, she doesn't reduce her efforts to achieve her objective. What she sets out to do, she achieves.

With the profits from her farm, Agnes has managed to take care of her family's needs and also give her children a good education.

Agnes wants to reap more profits by taking advantage of her area's favorable weather patterns, the good road network in her village, good soil, and ready market for tea crop products. As such, she is seeking a loan from Juhudi Kilimo in the amount of KES 80,000 to buy fertilizers to improve her tea crop farm.

Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with Kiva to help hardworking single moms like Agnes make their farming dreams become reality, through training and loan financing.

Please help this single woman, who has dreams and goals to achieve.
