Boikitlaetso Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access solar power for lighting, charging, and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.

Boikitlaetso Group's story

Marethabile is a 45-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house without access to electricity. She lives with five other family members, including four children.

Marethabile works as a civil servant but struggles with buying multiple fuel. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on paraffin and gas, which cost up to LSL 426 per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Marethabile and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cookstove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
