Lihanyela Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Lihanyela Group's story

Malekhetho is a 43-year-old woman who lives in a traditional hut, without access to electricity, with three children. Malekhetho relies on her husband's support and struggles with insufficient income and buying multiple fuel. She spends the largest amount of her energy expenses on mobile phone charging, candles, wood, paraffin and gas, which costs up to LSL345 per month. She also spends as much as 2 hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Malekhetho and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
