Precious's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy spare parts, spanners, and tyres to sell.

Precious's Group's story

Precious's Group is comprised of four hard-working women.

Precious is 16 years old and lives in the town of Isingiro in the Mbarara region of Uganda. For the past two years, Precious has been working hard to manage her spare parts business, which sells spare parts.

To help expand her business, Precious has requested a share of 2,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy spare parts, spanners, and tyres to sell. This will help Precious to generate greater profits. She will be in position to afford more personal needs and meet her family's basic needs from the generated profits, hence improving the standards of living.

Precious hopes that in the future she will be able to set up a garage.

Precious is a member of BRAC's Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program. In addition to micro-finance loans, the program provides both a safe place for young Ugandan women to take part in group activities, and a forum for life-skills training.
