Hay's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to build a household latrine and buy necessary related items.

Hay's story

Hay is 61 years old and a farmer from a rural village in the Bakan district, Pursat province. He lives with his wife, who's also a farmer, and his seven children, while four of his children are married and live separately.

To take care of their needs, Hay is involved in the cultivation of rice and sells it in the local market. As farming is the major source of the family's income, Hay has been doing this for more 30 years with constant support from his wife and his children.

Since Hay doesn't have a safe latrine for use at home, he's unable to help his family members improve their sanitation and personal hygiene.

For this reason, Hay has requested a loan of 2,000 USD to build a household latrine and buy necessary related items.

Thanks to the water loan program offered by HKL with a special interest rate, Hay is encouraged to focus on healthy living conditions, safeguard the health of his family, and protect the environment.
