Gs El Buen Porvenir Group's story

Santos is a 45-year-old man who is married and has 3 children. He resides in an indigenous community in the municipality of La Esperanza, in Intibucá.

For the last 12 years, Santos has cultivated potatoes of excellent quality. He sells the harvests to local intermediaries, either by the pound or by 30 kilogram bags. From this business Santos obtains the necessary income to cover his family's living expenses and public expenditures.

Santos is requesting this group loan in order to technically upgrade their potato crop. His goal is to improve his quality of life.

The group is composed of 5 persons dedicated to he same activity, who are requesting a loan of 105,000 Lempiras to invest in purchasing several hundred-weights of fertilizers, foliates, and potato seeds, and to pay day laborers to plant the potatoes.
