Gulbara's story

Gulbara is 41 years old, married, has a grown son and daughter, and the rest are schoolchildren. She has higher education and works as a teacher at a local school. Gulbara knows farming technology well and how to put it to good use. Since 2001, the main source of income for her family has been from raising livestock. Thanks to her hard work, Gulbara currently has on her farm 2 cows, 30 sheep and a .41 hectare plot of irrigated land on which she grows alfalfa.

To further develop her farm, Gulbara has applied to Bai-Tushum Bank for a loan in the amount of 85,000 som (KGS) to buy a dairy cow to increase her sales of organic milk and income from raising livestock. With the income from the loan, Gulbara plans to invest in further developing her farm and improving her family's well-being.
