Rebeka's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Rebeka's Group's story

Pictured above is Rebeka, often described as an extremely experienced farmer. She is 52 years old and has five children. As a group leader, she is representing her group of nine farmers in Wanging ombe District, Tanzania.

She is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again as this means that she is able to have access to the best seed prices, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Rebeka says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2018, she has had a healthier life due to better nutrition, which has improved her day-to-day life significantly. She will use the profits from this season to buy chicken.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 17 acres. One member of the group will also be purchasing a solar light.
