Rosa Margarita's story

The city of Portoviejo was affected by an earthquake on April 16, 2016. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Rosa is a 57-year-old widow who has three children all adults and independent; only one daughter who is single lives with her at home.

Rosa continues with her small restaurant in which she, in the afternoon, prepares meals of roast chicken, beef, pork with stew, salad and roasted plantain. Her daughter helps her in the afternoon until the evening.

With this new loan she will buy plantains, coal, vegetables, meat, rice, etc. Her dreams are that her business keeps growing and that her family continues being healthy.
