Doris's story

Doris is a 35-year-old woman who is married with seven children, and they live in a community in Honiara, the capital of Solomon Islands.

She runs a small business selling fish and chips, betel-nuts, and cigarettes in her community and at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for a few years now.

Doris has requested a loan to pay for an additional deep freezer, fish, flour, cooking oil, and cigarettes to increase her stock and assist her in running her business.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's financial needs and grow her business.

She joined SPBD in 2019 to gain access to financial services.
