A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase her cattle herd and sales of organic milk.

Gulzat's story

Gulzat, age 45, is married and has 4 children. She has a college education and works as a teacher at a local school. She is by nature hard-working, motivated and enterprising. She knows agricultural techniques well and is able to invest money for its intended purpose. She has been raising livestock as her family's main source of income since 2004. Thanks to her tireless work and responsible approach to business, she has grown her farm to include 3 cows, 35 sheep and 2 horses. She also has 6.79 hectares on land on which she grows beans and perennial grasses.
In order to further develop her farm, Gulzat has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan in the amount of 250,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of dairy cows, with the aim of increasing sales of organic milk and revenue from livestock raising. Gulzat plans to invest revenue from the loan in the further development of her farm and to improve her family's standard of living.
