Luisa De Jesus's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy sweet bread, French bread, and rolls, etc. for each time she goes out to sell as this is a perishable type of product.

Luisa De Jesus's story

Luisa is single and has two children, ages 14 and 8. For seven years she has needed to fulfill the responsibility of getting her children ahead by herself. Luisa says that her mother lives abroad. Luisa devotes herself to the business of selling bread. She started this business three years ago in order to generate earnings to raise her children. She learned this line of work with the support of one of her aunts. She tends to her business by herself, and her schedules are from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Her second shift is from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Her advantage is that, because she goes door to door, she is able to better tend to her customers. The disadvantage that she has with the business is in the winter season because she is not able to go out to sell as is her custom.

She is requesting a loan in order to have working capital available to buy sweet bread, French bread, and rolls, etc. for each time she goes out to sell because this type of product is perishable. She hopes that the investment will help her to stock the inventory in her business in order to keep her frequent customers satisfied and in order to be able to win over new customers. This way she will be able to improve her financial situation. Her dreams are to get her children ahead and to support them so that they are academically successful and become professionals.
