Jocelyn's story

Jocelyn is 53 years old and married. She lives a simple dwelling in Javier, Leyte, with her family. To earn an income, she raises chickens. She has been in this business for two years, as she wished to improve her family’s livelihood and become successful. Meanwhile, her husband works as a farmer.

With this she asks for a loan of PHP 15,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines. She will use this loan for additional capital to buy chicks to raise, and feed for them.

Jocelyn aspires to improve this livelihood in the future and become productive.
