Monica's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farming inputs such as high-quality seeds and fertilizer to improve her farm's output and thus educate her children.

Monica's story

Monica is a hardworking farmer from a remote village in the Kitui, an area with hilly scenery that is good for camping and hiking.

Thanks to her daily efforts, she has managed to give her children a good start by providing them with a good-quality education.

She is a dairy cow and crop farmer. Monica also has a small crop-farming business, but she has not been making good profits because of poor farming inputs. In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic and the kind of inputs that are being used in the sector today have been upgraded. On this note, there is need to use improved farming inputs for effective production.

Monica has learned that Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva are in partnership to alleviate rural poverty through financing enterprising small-holder farmers like her. She is happy that her problems will be solved. With this loan, she will be able to buy farming inputs such as high-quality seeds and fertilizer to improve her farm's output and make profits to educate her children.

Monica is a visionary, and her goal for the season is to boost her crop production above that of the previous year. All this can be achieved through lenders’ help and good will.
