Nueva Vida Xepatuj Group
Nueva Vida Xepatuj Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy high quality multicolored yarn.
Nueva Vida Xepatuj Group's story
She and her husband have a family business weaving on a loom, beautiful "cuts" also called typical skirts. While her husband makes the "cuts" she is dedicated to embroidery with designs of flowers, children and geometric figures. With the hird Kiva loan, Maria would like to buy a variety of high-quality yarns.
She is happy because she knows that thanks to the Kiva loan she will be able to increase the production of the business in this holiday season.
There are 6 Maya K’iche women in the communal bank that live in the Department / State of Sololá. They have small traditional textile businesses. Women understand the importance of acquiring knowledge about business, health, nutrition, hygiene and how to empower themselves. Women learn about these topics. A facilitator, who uses role-plays, games, images and diagrams, shares relevant information with them. Every two months, women can access basic health care services. Puente de Amistad calls the useful combination of loans, education and health services "Microcredit Plus".
Thank you, Kiva investors, for your kindness and generosity in financing these much-needed loans!
