Tinenenji's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more tailoring materials and additional machines to expand the business.

Tinenenji's story

Tinenenji is a 20-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Chikwawa District in Malawi. Tinenenji is a young woman who stays with her parents. She uses her business profits to support her parents. She is facing a number of challenges like lack of money to pay for tertiary education.

She is applying for a Kiva loan to boost her tailoring business (to buy cloth materials and tailoring machine). She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family, reinvest in the business and support the needy in her community.

Tinenenji will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a Camfed Learner Guide, following up on students who are at risk of dropping out of school, to find out why they are missing school and to link them with the help they need to stay in school.
