Fatima's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase more groceries in wholesale quantities to become a distributor to increase her profit margin.

Fatima's story

Fatima is a 27-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and child in the Gushegu district in Ghana. She runs her business retailing groceries.

With her previous Kiva loan, Fatima was able to expand her business by purchasing more of the groceries to meet customer demands.

Fatima is requesting another loan to purchase the groceries in wholesale quantities and become a distributor in her district, increasing her profit margin. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family's basic needs.

She will repay the "social interest" on this loan by volunteering two-and-half-hours per week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in local schools on topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path and active citizenship.
