Carlos Duvan's story

Carlos Duvan is a young, single entrepreneur of 22 years of age. He lives in the municipality of Soledad along with his family. This businessman sells and distributes ice cream, an activity that has generated family income and excellent profits for him.

Ever since he was very little, Carlos accompanied his mother to the place where she worked, an ice cream factory. There he learned from this business. When he reached legal age, his mother offered him some capital so that he could begin his business. He began to sell ice creams from an Icopor [polystyrene] cooler at an educational institution. The business grew little by little, and today he has a number of coolers from which he sells ice cream wholesale.

He is now applying for a Kiva loan, the first financing that he has had from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to invest in the purchase of Icopor coolers, ice pops, flavored milk drinks, ice cream cups, ice cream in cones, cones, fruits, disposable cups, napkins, etc.

Carlos needs an injection of capital to strengthen his business plan. He wants to expand the inventory of products because his demand has increased and in order to thus increase his profits and improve the quality of life of his family.

Help him with his business loan! He will be a success.
