Lorna's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a motorcycle that this single mom will use in transporting her perishable products to the market.

Lorna's story

Lorna, a single mother, is nothing short of a visionary dairy farmer who is based in the outskirts of Sotik town, a town that hosts elite Kenyan athletes. She is very determined to give her family a better reputation.

Today, she makes money from selling milk and different crops. However, surrounded by fresh air, wide open space, and peaceful, natural sounds, she cherishes every minute spent with her cows.

Lorna is seeking a loan from Kiva lenders to buy a motorcycle that will help with the transportation of her perishable products to the market.

In rural towns of Kenya, Indian motorcycles are in vogue. Farmers like Lorna use the roadster bicycles to transport passengers and farm goods to and from the market. They are suited for areas with poor road networks, which are inaccessible by cars. They are also very cheap to acquire and maintain.

Invest in Lorna's future and you won't regret it. She is full of promise. So far, she has managed to send two of her three children to standard schools with her blood, sweat, and tears. Imagine what she will do with your lending.
