Cecilia's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as certified seeds and high-quality fertilizers to improve her yields and generate more income to improve the quality of life for her family.

Cecilia's story

Cecilia (33 years old and a mom of 4) is a smallholder farmer. She has been farming for the past few years. Over this time, she has gathered much experience and is considered among the best farmers in her village.

Cecilia’s primary sources of income have been milk and crops. She is very passionate about farming and loves cultivating her farm. She is an honest, hardworking, loyal person who is dedicated to her farm because it allows her to support her family's needs.

Although she makes a profit from farming, Cecilia's standard of living is not comfortable. She has always wanted to increase her income by buying quality seeds, fertilizer, and other farm inputs. She has requested this loan to make these investments and improve her horticulture crop farming. The increased profits will eventually improve her standard of living.

The Kapcherop area, one of the country's most populated regions, has a high demand for food. This means that Cecilia could increase her profits by meeting the existing demand for crop products.

Cecilia is grateful that Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with Kiva lenders to help hardworking and honest women farmers like herself turn their farming dreams into reality through training and loan financing.

Cecilia is a special and zealous person and is grateful for the help and support of her Kiva lenders.
