Salima's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more cereals for sale.

Salima's story

Salima is a 27-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and two children in the Yendi Municipality of Ghana. Salima is a trader, currently trading in cereals such as maize, beans and millet, among others.

Salima is requesting a Kiva loan to enable her to purchase the cereals in larger quantities to meet her customers' demands. She will use the profit she earns to support her siblings and her family's basic needs.

Salima will repay the ‘social interest’ on this loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in local schools on topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path, and active citizenship.
