Rashida's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to purchase more beads and sandals to meet the demands of her customers who buy her beaded necklaces and sandals.
Rashida's story
Rashida is a 22-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her six siblings in the Bawku West district in Ghana. Rashida runs her own beaded necklace and sandals business.
With her first Kiva loan, Rashida was able to launch her business. She used the profit she earned to pay school fees for her siblings.
Rashida is requesting a second loan to purchase more beads and sandals to meet the demands of her customers. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family's basic needs. Rashida will repay the "social interest" on her second loan by volunteering two and half hours per week as a CAMFED Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.
