Rahama's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase more e-money and recharge cards in order to meet the demands of her customers.

Rahama's story

Rahama is a 21-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband, one child and five siblings in the Bawku West district in Ghana. Rahama runs a business dealing in e-money and recharge cards.

With her previous Kiva loans, Rahama was able to commence her business retailing mobile recharge cards and e-money. She used the profit she earned to support her family's basic needs. She is requesting another loan to purchase more e-money and recharge cards in order to meet the demands of her customers.

Rahama plans to use the profit she earns to support her family's basic needs. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and half hours per week as a CAMFED Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less-experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she has learned from operating her business.
