Jedida's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business, in order to generate more profit to support her family, and in the future build a bio gas digester to help save energy.

Jedida's story

This is Jedida, a very hardworking mother of two children. Ten years ago, she began farming, and she has achieved great milestones in terms of diversifying from vegetable farming by introducing farm animals such as goats, dairy cows and poultry. She also still grows vegetables on her farm. Jedida has managed to take care of her family with her income from selling milk. She has always wanted to buy another dairy cow, but a lack of capital has prevented her from doing so.

Jedida is now seeking a loan to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business. The cow she intends to buy is a breed that produces between 10 and 17 litres of milk a day, enabling greater production which will translate into more income. Demand for milk in the Eldoret area is high, but the supply is low. Through this loan, Jedida is going to have more milk and will comfortably meet demand.

Her vision is to buy even more dairy cows so that she will be able to build a bio gas digester in the future, which will help her to save more energy.
