Jardin De Rosas Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy personal care products for the end-of-year festivities.

Jardin De Rosas Group's story

Nine ladies who live in the department/state of Suchitepequez have formed the Friendship Bridge Trust Bank, “Jardin de Rosas”. Their president is 40-year-old Liliana who divorced many years ago and now lives with another couple. For 15 years, Liliana has sold personal care products via catalogue sales. She uses her income to support her two children (ages 15 and 22). She says, “my first son has special needs. It has been challenging to care for him, take care of household responsibilities, and my business. I am happy because I am able to do this and move ahead with my sons.”

Because of Liliana's business profits, she is able to provide a good quality of life and education for her children. The end of the year and graduation are coming, so Liliana is requesting her first Kiva loan to buy personal care products to sell at the festivities.

Liliana has 9 years of a formal education while the other women in her Trust Bank have little or no formal education. Because of this, they feel very grateful for the educational trainings that are a part of the "Microcredit Plus" program of loans, education, and healthcare services. During the educational sessions, they learn to manage their businesses wisely in sales of prepared foods, Mexican cake carts, clothing, and personal care products. Liliana shares, "the issues of self-improvement and good customer service have been indispensable in achieving success in my life and business."

Thank you very much, Kiva investors, for your generous loan support!
