04_Akyaye Group's story

This group was created in 2013 and includes dynamic and unified women whose main business is livestock fattening.

Fatou is standing on the right of the picture with her hand raised. She is 46 years old, married, and the mother of 6 children, two of whom are girls. She is the group’s representative. She has had a livestock fattening business for several years and she is also a merchant.

She wants to buy 4 sheep that she will fatten and resell after 5 months. She will also buy 4 bags of hay to feed the animals. She also wants to buy a bucket of dried hibiscus and a bag of baobab fruits for her grain business.

She wants to use the profits she’ll earn to pay for her children’s education and help her son who is a street vendor.
