Joan's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to purchase another high-yielding dairy cow and improve her milk vending business.
Joan, 32, a mom of 3, has a history of perseverance and determination to succeed. Her only way of earning a daily income is through agricultural production. On her small parcel of land, she rears dairy cows and grows vegetables.
Joan lives with her husband and children in Eldoret, Kenya, home to the Great Rift valley escarpment and many attractive places visited by tourists in Kenya. She has aspirations of expanding her dairy farm, but due to financial constraints, she has been unable to do so until now.
Joan is politely requesting a loan to purchase another high-yielding dairy cow and improve her milk vending business. This cow will boost milk production on the farm and grow Joan's milk vending business. As a result, she will have a greater volume for both consumption and sales. With the money from the additional sales, Joan will be able to service her loan on time.
With increased income from the loan, Joan plans to spend money to settle the high costs of production in farming and pay tuition fees for her children. Many farmers compromise quality because of the high cost of inputs. However, with increased income, Joan will not take such measures. In the long run, her family will realize an improved standard of living.
