Victoria's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to meet the overwhelming demand for milk in her village.
The Chuka area is very populated, and the demand for milk and dairy products is very high. Like many farmers from the region, Victoria finds dairy farming very enjoyable, and she stated that the most enjoyable part about dairy farming is the increased profits.
Her biggest challenge is meeting the demand, which is really high. She lacks funds to increase her dairy farming and is seeking a loan of 70,000 KES to buy an additional dairy cow.
For smallholder farmers, accessing funds without collateral security is not an easy task, but through institutions such as Juhudi Kilimo via Kiva, she feels relieved knowing that her dream will be achieved and that she will be able to buy an additional dairy cow.
The extra income she will get will be used to fully repay the loan. Victoria is very thankful for your contribution in advance.
