Faridah's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy supplies such as nutrient-rich fertilizers to improve her farm.

Faridah's story

Faridah is 35 years old, the mother of four children, and lives in Kitale the home of some of the world's most beautiful sculptures. She is a skilled farmer with many years of experience. Her family's main source of income is milk from their dairy farm; however, they are also involved in other agricultural activities and grow crops.

Access to modern-quality farm inputs is the pillar of the agricultural revolution. However, in Kenya, a developing country, fertilizer and seed allocation by the government is way below the needs of farmers. Since Juhudi Kilimo, which is in partnership with Kiva, ventured into the affairs of small-holder farmers in Kenya, farmers can attest that there has been a significant improvement in the availability of inputs.

Faridah is seeking a loan to buy supplies such as nutrient-rich fertilizers to improve her farm. Your loan will enable her to use quality fertilizers to improve her farm's production.

Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to small-holders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers like Faridah from Kitale can now buy important supplies to use on their farms.

Please help this farmer accomplish all her dreams by funding her loan.
