St Kizito Abagwane Women's Group's story

Janet is a married mother with two children living in Bundibugyo, Uganda. She is hardworking and therefore, takes responsibility in looking after her children, who both go to school. For 6 years now, she deals in buying and selling charcoal, mainly to the local people. Her motivations to run this business are for family upkeep, and supplementing her husband's wages. She hopes to expand her charcoal business, and construct rentals to earn more income.

Janet is a member of St Kizito Abagwane Women's Group, and intends to use a portion of the loan to buy more charcoal to sell. The group members provide guarantorship to get bank loans.
