Gulzat's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase her volume of milk sales to a dairy plant.

Gulzat's story

Gulzat is 49 years old, married and has three children. She has a university education and works as a teacher at a local school.

To provide an additional source of income to her family, Gulzat has been engaged in animal husbandry and crop farming since 1996. Thanks to Gulzat's hard work and her husband's help with the farm, her farm currently has four cows, 35 sheep, and two horses.

Gulzat has a contract to supply organic milk to a local dairy processing plant. This allows Gulzat to continuously invest in her agricultural business. Having learnt that she can apply to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan using her future sales contract as a collateral under the 'Value Added Chain' financial program in the bank, she requested a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows in order to increase her volume of milk sales. Payments for the milk will be transferred by the plant directly to Gulzat's bank account, and loan repayments will be automatically deducted. Profits from the loan will help Gulzat to further increase her livestock headcount and to provide quality education to her children.
