Julia's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy raw materials to make polleras (traditional Andean skirts).
She is a very industrious woman and has always looked to her son's well being and never let him lack for anything. It is all thanks to the fact that since she was young she worked at anything she could find. More than ten years ago she decided to work at her own business making polleras (traditional Andean skirts) which are women's clothing that sit at the waist and cover the legs. It is a garment mostly worn by women in rural areas. She works everyday from 9 in the morning to 8 at night and sells her products in markets in the city of El Alto.
This is the first time that Julia is requesting a loan for the purpose of buying raw materials, such as fabric, thread, embroidery floss and other items, to make polleras.
She hopes to improve her lifestyle and be able to buy her own home and help her son finish his professional studies.
