Thotsetsane Group's story
Manako is a 51-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with four other family members including 3 children. Manako works as a civil servant but struggles with buying fuel. Most of her energy expenses are electricity, gas, paraffin and wood, which cost up to 820 LSL per month. She also spends as much as two hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. Manako and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel, In addition, it helps them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
