Mokhojoaneng Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.
Mokhojoaneng Group's story
Mamotlatsi is a 55-year-old woman, who lives in a multi-bedroom house by herself, without access to electricity. Mamotlatsi relies on commercial farming, but struggles with insufficient income and the need to buy multiple types of fuel. She spends most of her energy expenses on mobile phone charging, paraffin, and gas, which costs up to 314 LSL per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs, like phone charging. Mamotlatsi and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cook stove to help them save the money they spend on fuel every month and also to help them gain access to solar electricity to charge their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook stove is biomass and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and on Facebook @African Clean Energy.
