Cat Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Cat Group's story

Matheepe is a 49-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedrooom house with four other family members including three children. Matheepe works as a civil servant but struggles with buying multiple fuels. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on electricity, paraffin, and gas, which costs up to LSL 350 per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Matheepe and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE 1 cookstove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
