Lesenke Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Lesenke Group's story

Rejeleng is a 61-year-old man who lives in a multi-bedroom house without access to electricity, with seven other family members including six children. Rejeleng relies on selling mohair and struggles with insufficient income and buying multiple fuels. He spends the most amount of his energy expenses on mobile phone charging, paraffin, wood and gas, which costs up to LSL 378 per month. He also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Rejeleng and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE 1 cookstove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
