A loan helped to buy pigs, chickens, and feed to raise them.

Sonia Guadalupe's story

Sonia is a noble 48-year-old woman. She lives with her 66-year-old mother and her 24-year-old daughter. Sonia is the head of the household, since her mother suffers from a hip condition that prevents her from walking and exerting herself. For this reason, Sonia took her place raising animals and selling menudo at a stand in the market. In this way, she earns a living and can care for her mother. That is why she is asking for a Kiva loan with the goal of increasing the raising of animals. She needs to buy pigs, chickens, and feed to raise them, in order to continue working in this way for her family’s well-being.
