Alma's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a solar freezer system, which will help increase her income from her little store.

Alma's story

Alma, who is 30, lives in a community in Yoro, Honduras with her two children.

She has been a very entrepreneurial woman for more than 15 years. Through her own efforts she now has a small convenience store where she sells food products as well as other general use products. With the objective of expanding her business, she wants to incorporate sales of dairy products, meat, soda pop, ice, and other products that require refrigeration.

Right now she has a limiting factor, because in the area where Alma lives with her family there is no access to electricity. Due to this barrier, Alma is requesting a loan through Soluz Honduras in order to obtain a solar freezing system which will help her better serve her customers. Above all she will not spend so much money buying ice, and won't have to cover long distances to obtain it. In this way her business will produce more profit, and her customers will be satisfied.
